Fugue • 2026 Contests

Fugue is excited to announce our 2026 Annual Writing Contests! This year’s judges are Emily Mitchell (prose) and Kimberly Johnson (poetry).

Winners and runners-up published, Winners get a $1000 prize and it’s a $20 submission fee. Each submission gets brief feedback from an editor for their fee! Our prose category is open to both nonfiction and fiction submissions.

Submissions will be open from Jan 1st to April 1st
