Fugue has received some great updates from past and present contributors! We want to pass along their success Jacob M. Appel, whose short story "The Consummate Marauder" appeared Fugue's winter/spring 1998 issue, won the 2012 Dundee International Book Prize. His novel, The Man Who Wouldn't Stand Up, was released by Cargo Publishing this year. Ansel Elkins, winner of this year's Fugue 2012 Annual Writing Contest in Poetry for her poem "Real Housewives," has received notification that she has been awarded a 2013 Literature Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts!
