Artist statement: "Proofs" aims to present a main character who desperately needs to slot both their anxieties and the world around them into neat little boxes that can later be rationalized, whether those rationalizations make sense or not. At the time of writing "Proofs", I found myself overthinking every action in my life, and I found math to be an unexpected comfort - and crutch. "Proofs" is a manifestation of those anxieties and will, I hope, show readers the world can be broken down into mathematical components and still be beautiful.
